Adventurous Catholics seeks to organize and promote events and activities that are exciting, fun, and healthy for the mind, body, and spirit. The aim is to provide an alternative form of recreation for South Floridians age 18-35 who are looking for engaging, fulfilling, and life-changing events.
Further, we aim to provide a meeting place for people that want to learn more about God and want to meet others who are on their journey to discovering God's plan for them. Everyone is at a different stage in their journey towards knowing God; some may question the existence of God, some may acknowledge God but don't quite know how He fits into their busy life, and yet others are blessed to know God intimately. Whatever phase they find themselves on God's path they are welcome to attend Adventurous Catholics events. Some of the events incorporate a spiritual element while others are just about building friendships, appreciating nature, and enjoying life.
Adventurous Catholics is not so much a group as it is a way of life. Part of the excitement of living a Catholic life is trusting in God and being prepared for the adventure he has in store for you. That's why the heart of this ministry is to share the message that we are called to live the Gospel. Be bold, be brave, and live life like a fearless Catholic!
This ministry is made possible because of the event coordinators that donate their time and energies to plan events for our community. Since Adventurous Catholics is a non-profit organization, the only payment required is to cover the cost of events.
Parishes, youth groups, and college groups may contact us to arrange a team-building event exclusively for their members. Most events, however, are open to anyone that is in good physical and mental health and willing to accept the risk involved in participating in the event.
